Yogi
Bhajan
Most of the products
of Yogi Press Sat Nam Media find their origin in the tradition
of Kundalini Yoga and Sikh-Dharma as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
The depth and truth within this ancient wisdom was brought
into the West by Yogi Bhajan who in this way opened it up
to everyone, to be actively experienced and to be lived
by. Yogi Bhajan called himself a "carrier of water", a neutral
and humble channel für these teachings. He was always emphasizing
on creating self-dependent teachers, rather than collecting
students, and on enabeling a person to experience his/her
own inner identity and strenght through the techniques of
Kundalini Yoga. This is where he stands out against many
other spiritual teachers. (More

Kundalini
Yoga
Kundalini is
considered the most comprehensive of yogas, combining meditation,
prayer, physical practices and breathing exercises. “Kundalini”
literally means “the curl of the lock of hair of the beloved.”
This poetic metaphor alludes to the flow of energy and consciousness
that exists within each of us, and enables us to merge with
– or “yoke” – the universal Self.
Fusing individual
and universal consciousness creates a divine union, called
“yoga.” The Upanishads, Hindu’s sacred scriptures that date
back to the fifth century B.C., describe Kundalini, although
the oral tradition reaches back even further into history.
For thousands of years, this sacred science and technology
was veiled in secrecy, passed along verbally from master
to chosen disciple.
Today more than
one million people all over the world practice Kundalini
Yoga, and enjoy this unique way to find a new sence of being.
